"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and
more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos
to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn
a meal into a feast, a house into a home,
a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes
sense of our past, brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.

I have this little game I play when I get grumpy, anxious, or overwhelmed. I ask Gratitude if she has something to say. She almost always answers in this quiet little voice. She isn’t pushy at all. And she usually waits to be asked before she speaks. And her response is usually something that you would normally overlook… “have you noticed that your tea is the perfect temperature this morning.” And then the most amazing thing happens, that little suggestion is like a key that opens the door to abundance. Because once I recognize that one little thing that I am grateful for, everything around me looks different. And then everything feels different. Without question, gratitude is one of the most powerful tools we have on this journey.
Shhhh….what is Gratitude whispering to you today?

This lesson is a hard one. When I feel in despair or lost or needing or hurt, it can be hard to immediately see the abundance all around me. Often it takes hitting rock bottom to have an awakening to all that I have to be grateful for that is right here right now. Once I realized that I can access this abundance freely whenever I want to, life seemed to shift a bit for me. It is not always easy, in fact, I still get frustrated and wallow in self pity at times...I'm human, but I now know there is more available to me. I know that once I'm over that initial pang of "what am I going to do?" I can open my eyes and choose what to do next. The sky is the limit and it is up to me to piece the pieces of the puzzle together how I want to. I get to choose how I see things and what I am going to do with where I'm at. This is my experience and it's up to me to make it a good one.
