power of love

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.”
~Jimi Hendrix

Around the world there seems to be so much struggling for power. The old systems are hanging on with a tight grip to dwindling dominion, and the oppressed are fighting against injustice that has prevailed rampantly around the world for far too long. I believe this uprising is resetting the balance of power around the world. And as the castle walls begin to crumble, a new system will step in to reestablish a balance that is just and equitable for us all.

At the same time as all these power struggles are taking place around the world, we have been given incredible opportunities to pour out love to our brothers and sisters and Japan and around the world for all sorts of hardships.  And the world is responding in incredible ways.  I have been fascinated to see how the macrocosm is reflecting somethings in my personal life about power struggles and the power of love.  I am looking carefully at how I am clinging to old systems that no longer serve instead of reaching out with love that always serves. In the end, and in the new beginning, love wins!

Many of us can feel it right now...the shift into a more loving stance. For so many years our world has thrived off of a deep love affair with power. Unfortunately to a very large extent, it still does operate that way. However, I think more and more people are seeing what a mess that way of thinking gets us into. Heck, the US government almost shut down last week...something just isn't right. I feel it when I look around though. As depressing as our world might seem at times, I feel love growing bigger and bigger everyday. Love is what is going to help us all through these tough times. Love is what we thrive on. Love can move mountains. Love will carry us home to where our hearts really belong. I have started to "breathe love" each day with hopes that it carries out into the universe to wherever it needs to be. My hope is that loving more will help change the world I see right now into the world I want to see.

the ones

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.
And there are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
This could be a good time!

There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore,
push off into the middle of the river,
keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
See who is in there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally.
Least of all, ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we've been waiting for.
